Bio
“Educated in his local schools, young Saad moved to Kabul to become a doctor in medicine. However, as he narrates in his typical Pukhtun humorous style, the first formula of general chemistry he wrote appeared a honeycomb to his teacher. And that proved the turning point of his life that led him to the faculty of literature at Kabul University.
Starting from a Hindu’s shop, he reached the American library in Kabul where he used to work temporarily as a library assistant to earn his pocket money and so started reading English fiction as well.
Having enough time and access to numerous books, he read the whole sections of English literature several times and in a few years’ time, he was able to discuss and criticize various novels. Moreover, Shpoon had digested English fiction in such a way that he could see a novel in every face he came across and was therefore, properly equipped to write fiction” - Dr. Yaseen Iqbal Yousafzai
